Since 1992 Hertford Controls has been an important source of supply for high quality electrical components used in arduous conditions and safety related applications.

In-depth experience and adaptability has earned our company a solid reputation for dependability and customer support, particularly in the UK rail industry. 

Our prime area of competence is DC switchgear, where our ranges of snap action switches, contactors and waterproof connectors offer the highest levels of reliability, performance and safety.

We are the long standing sales partner of Schaltbau GmbH, whose established ranges of safety switches, DC contactors and circular connectors are offered from stock. Apart from the availability of standard products, we are also engaged in modifications of Schaltbau switches according to our customers’ special requirements.

In many cases we perform additional inspection procedures in line with our customers instructions, selecting or tightening tolerances. This, on top of Schaltbau's already stringent quality procedures, makes it doubly sure that returns are a very rare occurrence. Repairs to components or assemblies is also possible dependent on individual circumstances.

Major markets for us are railway rolling stock, mechanical handling, drive technology and industrial automation where our products are widely used in traction/brake controllers, vehicle door control systems, mechanical handling devices such as fork lift trucks and general machine electrics.

Relequick Relays have more recently been added to our range giving us the capability of offering high quality plug-in and solid state relays.
