Magnetic Blowouts Technical Brief
All Schaltbau contactors having permanent magnetic blowouts work in the same way.
This technology is one of Schaltbau's key strengths and ensures that distructive arcs are dealt with quickly and efficiently. This minimises contact damage and significantly increases the operational life of the device.
The following diagrams illustrate the way in which the arc is drawn out of the contact area, distended and extinguished.
